The McGown Guild was formed to bring together rug hookers new and old, just like yourself who have an interest in learning more about this craft
and appreciate rug hooking as an art. Our guild has a rich tradition and works to preserve the history of rug hooking as well as learning new forms of our art. 

As an open guild, we are welcome all styles of rug hooking – fine cut or wide, hooked or punched, whether an original or bought commercially, we delight in making it our creations while remembering and learning from the talented rug hookers who came before.

We would love to have you as part of this learning and sharing community.  As our founder Pearl K. McGown asserted: we all have something to learn, and something to offer one another.

Noteworthy News:

The McGown Guild is accepting applications for grants to assist Guild Chapters or Members to hold rug shows or other educational events.
