Growing up I learned all types of handwork and rug hooking became one of my favorites. I am drawn to the many different styles and LOVE color. Rug hooking mimics so many types of art…what’s not to like?! Whether it is hooking bright colors, muted colors, sculpted, 3-D, wide cut, crewel, creative stitches, tapestry – rug hooking has it all! Sometimes creating a pattern comes from a class request, a life lesson or even a casual conversation with friends!

I have been rug hooking for over the 30 years and have taken classes from many different, talented teachers using fine cut on up to torn strips. In 2001 I became an accredited McGown teacher and strive to learn new techniques and enjoy sharing my knowledge of rug hooking with others.

I have had various hooked pieces in Rug Hooking & ATHA Magazines, Celebrations of Hand-Hooked Rugs and “National Bouquet” won the 2014: People’s Choice Award at Sauder Village Rug Hooking Week for fruits/florals.

My shop carries many original and commercial rug hooking patterns, kits and supplies, as well as punch needle and wool applique kits and supplies.
